The best characteristic of an elephant
is not brute strength
or mammoth size
but his tender gentle eyes.

My favorite animal to watch in Africa was the Elephant. They are so tender with their young and are clearly very aware of the people in their surroundings. There were moments when our jeep was surrounded by elephants. When they looked at me, I really felt like their tiny eyes bore right into my soul.
