Lions represent courage. I can't help but look at this guy as a soft king surrounded by flowers.

This lion was painted outdoors while standing in the desert at Joshua Tree in California in winter. I'm not sure what inspired me to paint a lion while looking at the stark yet beautiful, cold, desert landscape. However, looking at this lion will forever remind me of the rolling hills of Joshua Tree.
